We utilise DT Swiss Competition double butted J bend spokes for all of our in-stock builds, DT Swiss ProLock Brass nipples and DT Swiss 350 hubs built into the rim of your choice. For the perfect balance of durability and performance for NZ terrain. 

The GR531 build is the perfect bike packing and adventure wheelset, we have chosen to build this as a 32/28 spoke count wheelset, to allow for a stronger wheel at lesser spoke tensions than what might otherwise be seen with a lesser spoke count race type Gravel wheelset. This provides a few key benefits;

• A smoother ride which is very welcome on long multi-day adventures, especially on gravel roads.
• In the unlikely event that a spoke were to break, the wheel is highly likely to remain true enough to continue riding to the next town for repair, rather than leaving you stranded.
• This wheelset also utilises a standard and readily available J bend spoke, which even the most remote bike shops and locations, should be able to track down.
