How to Find the Correct Replacement Part for a Fox Suspension Fork

Getting the right part for your Fox fork depends on identifying the exact model, because many Fox parts are not interchangeable. The easiest way to do this is by finding the 4 digit ID code on the fork.

1. Find Your Fox ID Code

  • Look on the back of the lower leg of your fork for a 4 digit code (examples: C372, DH6P).
  • If you don’t see one, check for an 11 digit serial number stamped on the underside of the steerer tube, especially on older forks.(You may need to clean the area or use a flashlight).

2. Use the Fox Help Center

  • Go to tech.ridefox.com/bike.
  • Type your 4 digit code or serial number into the search bar.
  • This will show your fork’s model, year, travel, and the official Parts & Drawings for your fork.

3. Find the Correct Part

  • In the Parts & Drawings section, look for the exploded diagram of your fork.
  • Use the exact part numbers listed for your fork’s year and model.
  • Make sure you know your fork’s stanchion size (32/34/36/38/40mm).

4. If You Can’t Find a Code

  • Try to identify the model, year and spec of the fork.
  • Search the Parts & Drawings section, look for the exploded diagram of your fork.
